Kaleidoscope
Wellness Through Creative Expression
Kaleidoscope is a mental health consumer oriented and initiated art and literary magazine. Art includes original drawings, photographs, paintings and mixed media collage. Literary submissions include original poetry and testimonials by those living with a psychiatric diagnosis, including family and friends.
The goal of the publication is to raise provincial awareness of mental illness by helping to combat stigma and promote recovery for the artists involved.
Contributions come from across Manitoba and are received by a small editorial committee. With two previous editions (2008 & 2009), a third edition slated for publication this spring is in production. Copies are distributed free through the Canadian Mental Health Association's regional offices.
Kaleidoscope is a program run thorugh the Partnership for Consumer Empowerment program at CMHA Manitoba. For more information please contact Matthew Sarbit at pce@cmhamanitoba.ca or 204.953.2354
